Monument Shopping

Shopping is one of the best things to do in Monument. The town is home to some of the best local boutiques and shops in the whole state. Monument is mostly made up of smaller businesses rather than bigger, well-known retail stores. Because of this, Monument’s shopping scene always stays fresh and local, creating an even bigger passion for shopping in the community. Here are a few great places to check out.

If you like thrift or antique shopping, you will love the shops in Monument. Hangers to Hutches is a thrift shop in town that sells clothing to women, men, and children, all for a good cause. The thrift shop’s inventory comes entirely from donations around the community, and the proceeds benefit Tri-Lakes Cares, a great nonprofit in town.

Head to Village Merchants for a whole range of awesome boutiques. The little shopping area is home to 15 different merchants selling everything from jewelry to baby clothes to vintage items! All of the shops are independently owned and community oriented! You will love exploring Village Merchants.

At Covered Treasures Bookstore, explore the greatest selection of new and used books, games, journals, and various other knick-knacks. The quaint little shop is housed in a building that has been around for centuries, adding to the traditional feel of a comfortable little book store. Covered Treasures is a member of the American Booksellers Association as well as the Indiebound organization.
